Margaret developed Sussex Support Service over the past 4 years so that carers can get quality day respite and their loved ones/carers can enjoy social stimulation in a safe, fun and comfortable environment. . She is passionate about supporting individuals to live well and enjoy life whatever difficulties they may face. Margaret has worked within a variety of care settings as well as being a carer herself which has given her a great insight into the needs of others.
Lead Support Worker
Having worked in various care roles as well as caring for her mother Carol has gained extra empathy for those in a similar position. Carol believes in meeting each individuals needs with dignity and respect remembering they always have a choice. She also has a great sense of humour which also helps when the going gets tough.
Liz has always worked within a caring environment in a care home setting or latterly in the community. Liz has a patient and quietly supporting nature are a great asset to the service. She has over her years of experience developed a real empathy and understanding of people living with dementia and the ripple effect it has on their loved ones/carers.
Her philosophy has always been to treat people how I would want to be treated.
Driver & Cook
Before Jay joined our team he worked as a community driver for a number of years, supporting many different client groups. Jay is also a fantastic cook creating lovely home made meals for us every day.
Josh is kind & caring individual, he worked previously in an specialist care home in Glasgow before returning back to Uckfield to complete an open university degree.
Support Worker & Driver
Jackie started with Sussex Support Service when the business first started up in 2012 helping with the group and driving on a Thursday and continues to drive for the minibus one day a week. Jackie is always ready to give a helping hand.
